Measuring 16 inches long, this light-up plastic model sculpted by Art Asylum replicates the Starship Enterprise from the 2nd Star Trek feature film "The Wrath of Khan". Ricardo Montalbán portrays the villainous Khan Noonien Singh, a genetically enhanced superhuman who used his strength and intellect to briefly rule much of Earth in the 1990s. (Yes, the 1990s! And the movie takes place in the 23rd century!) This movie also featured Kirstie Alley as Saavik, Spock's Vulcan protege, her first feature film role.
When Khan escapes from a 15-year exile to exact revenge on Kirk, the crew of the Enterprise must stop him from acquiring a powerful terraforming device named Genesis. The film concludes with the death of Enterprise crewmember Spock (Leonard Nimoy), beginning a story arc that continues with the 1984 film Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and concludes with 1986's Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
Khan: Kirk? You're still alive, my old friend?
Kirk: Still alive, "old friend!" You've managed to kill everyone else, but like a poor marksman, you keep missing the target!
