This is the third go-round for the FM 1958 Corvette. Initially fabricated in Charcoal in 1993, the model exhibited good stance and decent detail for its time. It was repainted in 2000 to Signet Red and presented as part of the awesome Garage Diorama. The car was not changed otherwise. As a limited edition of 2500, the car looks all new in Snowcrest White with Silver coves and black interior. Fit and finish is very nice and the color combo works well together, especially with the hard top in place. The model cannot favorable compare with the Danbury version and it isn’t fair to make the comparison between today’s tech and that from 11 years ago. The engine is the vaunted Fuelie but it is not as well done as FM’s 1959 Corvette model done two years after the ’58.

The model will appeal to Corvette collectors and limited edition buffs. The issue price is $145.
