This is a wonderful revision of FM's previously released '32 Caddy Phaetons. This V-16 has been treated to a removable top like the Elliot Ness version, unlike the original Sport iteration issued back in '94. The model also comes with a 'down' boot to simulate the open air look the car had when that big roof was stored for a Sunday drive.
The big news here is the paint.Two-toned, it is a lovely and car flattering metallic silver blue with deep medium Cadillac Classic Blue and accented flawlessly with upper body striping and bold accent in black. The wire wheels are deep blue and the interior, top and boot are grey. The 'up' top has a fabulous texture feel to it.
Featured inside is a fold-down center arm rest and a wood foot rest ready to serve the backseat occupants. Wood grain beautifully highlights the door trim and dash and rear cowl surrounds. The trunk now opens along with all four doors and the engine exhibits terrific detail. So does the chassis. The model celebrates the elegance and opulence of the early thirties very well and in a small issue of only 1500, the model should move quickly - don't wait to get yours, you'll be sorry if you do.
