The off-road and amphibious capabilities of the German Schwimmwagen proved extremely valuable in the arduous conditions throughout the war and especially during the Battle of the Bulge. This troop & small arms transport capabilities provided quick response for an advancing, and then retreating German Army. Its all-wheel drive, great versatility and rugged reliability made it the small vehicle of choice for both soldiers and commanders, unlike the American version.
This version comes in winter camouflage appropriate to the Battle of the Bulge. It bears the insignia of SS Panzer Aufklarung Abteilung to which this particular vehicle was attached.
