Kudos to FM with the introduction of this long awaited, long wanted, and very handsome Packard Convertible!
This was, literally, Packard's "last hurrah"...beautifully built (for 1955 standards, not classic standards), fast, comfortable, this was about a good as life got in 1955. Many "firsts" here...Torsion Aire Ride, Packard's first (and, sadly, last) V8, Catheral style taillamps, Dual Mode Ultramatic Transmission. It's all captured here in a 1/24 scale FMPM that really worth owning....especially if you have the other 3 1/24 scale Packards from FM....beautiful detail, 2 tops (mine is up...but that's the way I display most of my convertibles), suspension, all the amenities we expect in today's "hi-tech" precision model. The car sits
right, looks right , and has all the "presence" the name "Packard" conjures. Nice build quality...everything's tight and just about the way it should be. Door gaps are less than usual but aren't up to the Creative Master standard. The dash is "beautiful" (glitzy with a dash of classy...), the interior is colorful, accurate, and well executed.
It's a real decent 4 1/2 star push from FM and adds a great deal of dimension to the FM lineup...as it will when you add it to your collection! Do it!!! The issue price is $120 + S&H.
