Back in the dark days of the Great Depression, when
most of the USA was down on its luck, the 1930
CADILLAC V16 LWB SEDAN found its way into the
garages of the rich and famous. Even Al Capone selected
this car as his personal ride.... and now Franklin Mint has
modeled Capone's chariot right down to the gun ports in
the rear side windows!!! FM has caught the very essence
of this huge, powerful automobile in all its glory. The
details abound and are beautifully detailed with seamless
craftsmanship.
The assembly is near flawless; the doors, complete with
tiny rubber "bumpers" click tightly shut and operate smoothly. The luggage rack unfolds to accept any and all baggage,
and there's even a "tinted" sun visor mounted above the windshield! Everything fits together smoothly, evenly, and
correctly. The black paint is smooth and even, with the chrome gleaming. The overall aspect is a sight to behold!!
There's even Al's white Fedora hat, his briefcase, and even his Tommy Gun are included just to enhance the aura of
this magnificent automobile!
Raise a hood panel, and you'll feast your eyes on a most exquisite rendition of the fabled Cadillac V-16 engine. It's
fully plumbed and is a real work of art deco...almost "de rigeur" for '30s automotive technology. The engine is a model
within itself! This replica is highly recommended!!! The issue price is $120.
