At the 1938 French GP, each race team was allowed to enter a maximum of three race cars. That was why Richard Dick Seaman, in the status of a replacement driver, didnt get the chance to compete in this race.
Before the race started, however, Dick Seaman was made to do some extensive test runs on the track in a specially-labeled Mercedes training car. In the course, he gathered a lot of precious in-formation that helped his team to plan and build a perfect setup for the three race cars.
CMC has replicated the training car in its original appearance. This model is a limited edition of 1,540 pieces worldwide.
