It also set the fastest speed of any 427 Cobra in history at 198.047 mph at Daytona International Speedway in 1967 driven again by Dick Smith. You’re probably already aware that his “#198” trademark livery represents his top speed (198 mph), clocked and eternally etched into Cobra racing history… as the highest speed ever officially recorded for a Cobra roadster…in 1967 at Daytona International Speedway. The car is now kept at the Riverside International Automotive Museum after being sold for over $2,000,000.
