Unlike any of its successors, the original blueprint for the Corvette Grand Sport started out as an act of rebellion by Zora Arkus-Duntov, a name that has been synonymous with the Corvette’s development in its early years. The first Grand Sport was a thoroughbred racing car that was developed against GM’s and, allegedly, even the government’s wishes.
