The Ferrari F50 Coupe in Black is an especially dramatic version of Ferrari's 1990s flagship supercar, combining exotic styling with technology derived directly from Formula One. Rather than a race car with a specific driver, the F50 was a road-going machine engineered to deliver a genuine racing-car experience. Its 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V12, derived from Ferrari's early-1990s F1 engine, produced about 513 hp, while the engine and six-speed manual transmission were mounted as stressed structural members of the carbon-fiber chassis. The F50's pushrod suspension, carbon-fiber construction, removable roof, large rear wing, and race-inspired aerodynamics set it apart from virtually every other road-going supercar of its era. Only 349 examples were produced, making a black F50 particularly striking and highly collectible.
