The 2008 Porsche Cayman S Design Edition 1 in Black was a highly exclusive special edition created to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Porsche Design, with only 777 examples produced worldwide. Beneath its dramatic all-black appearance was the standard 3.4-liter naturally aspirated flat-six producing 295 horsepower, but Porsche added 19-inch 911 Turbo wheels, 5-mm spacers, PASM suspension lowered by 10 mm, and a special Sport mode for a more aggressive stance and driving experience. Inside, black leather and Alcantara, Porsche Design-inspired gauges, embossed headrests, and a numbered plaque reinforced its exclusive character. Each car also came with a matching Porsche Design briefcase containing a Flat Six Chronograph watch and accessories, making the Cayman S Design Edition 1 as much a collectible design statement as a sports car.
