The M-Sport Ford Puma Rally1 No. 55, driven by Irishman Joshua McErlean with co-driver Eoin Treacy at the 2026 Rally Monte-Carlo, marked the beginning of their second season together at the top Rally1 level. McErlean had made his Rally1 debut in 2025 after progressing from Rally2 and recorded a career-best seventh place at Monte-Carlo; in 2026 the pair finished 21st overall, after an accident on Stage 17. The 2026 Puma was the final evolution of M-Sport’s Rally1 car, featuring further work on suspension geometry, weight distribution and brake cooling, while retaining its four-wheel-drive Rally1 configuration and powerful turbocharged engine. Its aggressive aerodynamic bodywork, large rear wing and gravel/asphalt adaptability make the Puma Rally1 very different from a conventional road-going Ford Puma and give it the unmistakable appearance of a modern World Rally Championship machine.
