The Porsche 911 RSR-19 No. 91, driven by Gianmaria Bruni and Richard Lietz, marked the emotional farewell of Porsche’s factory GTE-Pro programme at the 2022 8 Hours of Bahrain. Its striking special-edition “Goodbye” livery celebrated ten years of Porsche 911 RSR competition in the FIA World Endurance Championship, incorporating colorful stripes inspired by some of the team’s most memorable historic racing designs. The car also carried the names of drivers from the programme’s decade-long history and commemorated Porsche’s 16 GTE-Pro class victories since 2013. Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter flat-six engine producing approximately 515 horsepower, the mid-engined RSR-19 was a fitting tribute to one of Porsche’s most successful endurance-racing eras. Bruni and Lietz finished fourth in the GTE-Pro class in its final factory outing.
