The Porsche 911 GT3 R #120 of Wright Motorsports competed in the 2024 Rolex 24 at Daytona, one of North America’s most prestigious endurance races. The driver lineup featured Adam Adelson, Elliott Skeer, Jan Heylen, and Frédéric Makowiecki, combining rising talent with experienced international sports-car racers. Based on the 992-generation 911 GT3 R, the car featured Porsche’s rear-mounted, naturally aspirated 4.2-liter flat-six engine, a sophisticated aerodynamic package, and a rear-engine layout that gave it distinctive handling characteristics. Its wide body, large rear wing, and carefully engineered cooling and braking systems were designed to withstand 24 hours of demanding competition. The driver lineup brought together different strengths: Adelson and Skeer formed a promising pairing, Heylen contributed extensive experience with Wright Motorsports, and Porsche factory driver Makowiecki added top-level international endurance-racing expertise. At Daytona, the #120 completed 729 laps and finished seventh in the GTD class, just one lap behind the class-winning car.
