1985 Lincoln Town Car featured in the 2023 film Air 1:18
The 1985 Lincoln Town Car featured in the 2023 film Air is a fitting representation of the understated American luxury of the mid-1980s. Driven by Sonny Vaccaro, portrayed by Matt Damon, the large Lincoln provides a striking contrast to the smaller, sportier automobiles of the period. Its formal, squared-off styling, spacious interior, rear-wheel-drive chassis, and smooth 5.0-liter V8 emphasize comfort and effortless cruising rather than performance. The 1985 model also received a significant facelift, with redesigned bumpers and revised front and rear styling that gave the imposing sedan a somewhat more streamlined appearance. Its prominent role in Air makes this Town Car particularly interesting to collectors, connecting a classic American luxury sedan with the story of Nike's pivotal pursuit of Michael Jordan.
