1966 Riva Junior Motorboat Ivory/Yellow in 1:18 scale
This is the 1966 Riva Junior Motorboat Ivory/Yellow in 1:18 scale by Mitica.
The 1966 Riva Junior is a classic Italian runabout crafted by Carlo Riva to blend elegance, performance, and compact luxury. At just about 5.7 meters long (≈18-19 ft), it’s much smaller than Riva’s luxury flagship models like the Aquarama, yet carries the same artisanal wood craftsmanship, varnished mahogany, and polished hardware. It was fitted with a Riva Crusader V8 producing around 180 hp, enabling top speeds in the region of 75-80 km/h (≈45-50 mph), making it ideal for waterskiing or lounging in style. Only about 626 units were built between 1966–1972, and its white-painted hull sides, central bench cockpit, sun deck, and sporty design gave younger boating enthusiasts and tender users access to Riva’s luxury aesthetic without the bigger boat’s size or cost.
This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. These diecast
models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Interior detail is hand assembled and easily
visible. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for a most
authentic replication.
