The BMW M Hybrid V8 #20, driven in the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans by Robin Frijns, René Rast, and Sheldon van der Linde, was BMW M Team WRT’s bold entry in the Hypercar class. Frijns is a seasoned endurance and formula driver, Rast brings strong racing pedigree and consistency, and van der Linde, a rising star in GT and prototype racing, rounded out a very versatile and fast line-up. What made this car especially unique was its striking Art Car livery, the 20th in BMW’s storied Art Car program — designed by artist Julie Mehretu to celebrate both performance and creative expression. Unfortunately, during the Le Mans race the #20 suffered an engine issue, which set them back significantly. Despite the setback, the campaign underscored BMW’s hybrid technology and artistic heritage, combining technical innovation with a deeply symbolic design.
Spark models are hand painted, decorated and assembled. Each model is created using a variety of
production processes, such as hand cast resin, diecast and injected molded thermoplastics.Photo etched
parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are also used. Spark ensures the absolute best
quality possible. Each model comes with its own acrylic display case.
