This is the BMW V12 LM No.1 24H Le Mans 1998 Stuck/Christensen/Soper in 1:18 scale by Spark.
The BMW V12 LM No. 1 of BMW Motorsport competed in the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans with Hans-Joachim Stuck, Tom Kristensen, and Steve Soper. Stuck was a legendary German endurance racer with extensive Le Mans experience, Kristensen was an emerging Danish star who would become the race’s record nine-time winner, and Soper was a highly accomplished British touring-car and sports-car driver. The V12 LM was BMW’s first purpose-built modern Le Mans prototype, featuring a mid-engine layout, open cockpit, carbon-fiber construction, and a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter BMW V12 derived from the engine used in the McLaren F1 GTR. Its lightweight chassis and aerodynamic bodywork represented BMW’s return to the top class of prototype racing, although the No. 1 ultimately retired with rear-drivetrain vibrations.
Spark models are hand painted, decorated and assembled. Polished to a beautiful finish Exceptionally
accurate scale and shape. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, such as hand
cast resin, diecast and injected molded thermoplastics. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing
and waterslide decals are also used. Spark ensures the absolute best quality possible.
