Maserati 450S Zagato Coupe No.1 Le Mans 24H 1957 S. Moss – H. Schell in 1:43 scale

The Maserati 450S Zagato Coupe No. 1 was entered in the 1957 24 Hours of Le Mans with legendary drivers Stirling Moss and Harry Schell. Moss, widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers never to win the Formula One World Championship, was known for his exceptional speed, racecraft, and endurance victories, while American-born Schell was a highly respected Formula One and sports car competitor. The 450S Zagato Coupe was one of the most extraordinary Maserati race cars ever built, featuring a lightweight Zagato-designed aluminum body wrapped around a massive 5.6-liter V8 engine producing around 400 horsepower. Its combination of aircraft-inspired coachwork, immense power, and rarity made it unlike any other GT prototype of its era. Although the car retired from Le Mans due to mechanical issues, the 450S Zagato remains a symbol of Maserati’s pursuit of extreme performance and Italian racing innovation during the golden age of endurance racing.
