This is the MG Metro 6R4 No.10 3rd RAC Rally 1985 Pond/Arthur in 1:18 scale by Spark.
The MG Metro 6R4 No. 10 achieved a remarkable 3rd-place finish at the 1985 RAC Rally, driven by British rally star Tony Pond with co-driver Rob Arthur. Pond was one of Britain’s most respected rally drivers, renowned for his performances with Rover and MG machinery, while Arthur was his regular co-driver during the Metro 6R4’s development and competition debut. The Group B 6R4 was unique because its compact Metro body concealed a mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 3.0-liter V6 and sophisticated four-wheel-drive system, producing around 410 hp in full works specification. Unlike turbocharged rivals such as the Lancia Delta S4 and Audi Quattro, the MG relied on immediate, linear power delivery from its high-revving V6. The No. 10’s podium on its World Rally Championship debut was particularly impressive, finishing behind the two new Delta S4s and establishing what would remain the Metro 6R4’s best-ever WRC result.
Spark models are hand painted, decorated and assembled. Polished to a beautiful finish Exceptionally
accurate scale and shape. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, such as hand
cast resin, diecast and injected molded thermoplastics. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing
and waterslide decals are also used. Spark ensures the absolute best quality possible.
