The Porsche 911 GT3 R No. 8, AO Racing's "Bushi Rex," introduces a fascinating new character to AO Racing's imaginative racing family. Inspired by Japanese samurai warriors, Bushi Rex is portrayed as the ancient samurai ancestor of the team's popular dinosaur character, Rexy. Created for AO Racing's 2026 debut at the Suzuka 1000km in Japan, the striking samurai-inspired Porsche was campaigned in partnership with Absolute Racing. Driven by Laurin Heinrich, Alessio Picariello, and Julien Andlauer, Bushi Rex made an unforgettable first appearance by capturing the overall victory, starting sixth and finishing nearly 50 seconds ahead of the competition. Its distinctive white-and-red livery, Japanese warrior-inspired details, and connection to Rexy's fictional family history make this Porsche particularly special. The victory also marked AO Racing's first overall GT victory and Porsche's first overall Suzuka 1000km win since 1994.
