This is the Ferrari 512BB #87 1978 24h Le Mans DNF in 1:43 scale by Tecnomodel.

In the 1978 Le Mans, the Ferrari 512 BB #87 was entered by Luigi Chinetti’s NART team and driven by Jean‑Pierre Delaunay, Jacques Guérin, and Gregg Young. This was one of only three specially modified “BB LM” cars built by Ferrari that year for the IMSA GTX class, fitted with a tuned 4.9‑liter flat‑12, lighter bodywork, and aerodynamic upgrades.  The car showed competitive pace and even climbed to 11th overall and 2nd in class during the race, but it was forced to retire after 232 laps due to a gearbox failure, highlighting the challenge of adapting a road‑derived Ferrari to the brutal endurance demands of Le Mans.

Excellent quality and finish. Beautifully crafted and exquisitely detailed. Models are hand
painted, decorated and assembled. Beautiful detail and accuracy of shape and scale. Photo
etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are also used. Each model
comes with its own acrylic display case.
