At the 2025 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, the No.45 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 fielded by Wayne Taylor Racing featured a competitive driver lineup of Danny Formal, Trent Hindman, Graham Doyle, and endurance specialist Kyle Marcelli. Formal and Hindman—both proven GT racers with prior IMSA success—helped keep the car running near the front of the GTD field for much of the race. The Huracán GT3 EVO2 stood out with its evolutionary aerodynamics derived from Lamborghini’s Super Trofeo program, including improved cooling, refined airflow, and enhanced stability over long stints. Despite showing strong pace and qualifying near the front, the No.45’s race was ultimately defined by heartbreak, as a late suspension failure in the final hour forced retirement, highlighting both the car’s competitive speed and the brutal reliability demands of endurance racing.
