At the 2025 Rolex 24 at Daytona, Lone Star Racing competed with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo #80, featuring a seasoned lineup — team owner/driver Dan Knox, veteran Scott Andrews, rising star Eric Filgueiras, and AMG factory driver Ralf Arón for the endurance opener. The team showcased impressive pace and tenacity, battling inside the GTD lead well into the night. Unfortunately, a multi-car incident during a restart early Sunday caused significant damage, forcing the squad to withdraw despite a spirited comeback effort . Their performance, however, demonstrated both the competitiveness and heart of an ambitious privateer undertaking in one of endurance racing’s toughest tests.
