This is the BMW 3-Series M3 #44 Winner Div. 2 1000km 1987 Bathurst in 1:18 scale by WERK 83

At the 1987 1000 km Bathurst, the BMW 3-Series M3 Team JPS (John Player Special) #44 driven by Tony Longhurst and Jim Richards delivered a thrilling Division 2 victory in one of Australia’s most demanding endurance races. Longhurst — a versatile racer with success in touring cars and sports sedans — and Richards — a multiple Australian touring car champion and Bathurst winner — combined blistering pace with mechanical sympathy and strategic patience to keep the #44 M3 up front over the punishing Mount Panorama circuit. What set the 1000 km Bathurst apart from many other races was its unique mix of high-speed straights, tight mountain sections, and off-camber corners on a public-road course transformed into a race track, demanding tire and brake management, courage over blind crests like Skyline, and perfect coordination through day-night transitions — a very different challenge from traditional closed-circuit endurance events.
