This is the Porsche 917 Long Tail Hippie Practice Version #3 1970 24h Le Mans Elford/Larrousse/Kauhsen in 1:18 scale by WERK83.

The Porsche 908/03 No. 3, driven by Vic Elford and Gérard Larrousse, won the 1971 1000km Nürburgring, one of the most grueling and iconic endurance races in the world. The ultra-lightweight 908/03 was specifically engineered for twisty, technical tracks like the Nürburgring Nordschleife, where handling and agility trumped raw horsepower. Vic Elford, nicknamed "Quick Vic," was renowned for his mastery of the Nürburgring, while Larrousse brought strong endurance racing credentials and consistency. What made this race unique was the brutal complexity of the 14.2-mile track, with over 170 corners per lap, changing weather conditions, and narrow margins for error. Porsche's victory here underscored its engineering precision and the unmatched skill of Elford and Larrousse in taming the world’s toughest circuit.

This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. These diecast
models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Interior detail is hand assembled and easily
visible. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for a most
authentic replication.
